THE 2016 NEW YORK GIANTS: RIDICULOUSLY EARLY PREDICTIONS

Here is my take on the NY Football Giants 2016 season based on the NFL schedule that was just released.  Albeit crazy early, the Giants will be an improved team, however making the playoffs will mean having to win the NFC East, and that in all likelihood will not happen for this seasons team.

Does the Los Angeles Rams trade actually make sense?

What a difference four years makes, huh? Les Snead, the general manager of the then-St. Louis Rams, pulled off a trade that netted him eight players for his second overall pick, which the Washington Redskins infamously turned into RGIII. Yesterday, the same Les Snead of the now (again) Los Angeles Rams, traded away six picks for presumably their franchise quarterback.

That seems like a lofty sacrifice for one player. Especially when there isn’t one standout quarterback and the Rams reportedly traded for the pick two weeks early so they can decide which quarterback is their man.

So, does the trade make sense?

The NFL’s quarterback carousel

It’s amazing. There is no position more important than quarterback in the NFL. Yet, the play at the position has gotten so mediocre that player’s like Sam Bradford are commanding mega-deals, while unknown talents with small sample sizes like Brock Osweiler are doing the same.

Take a look at the quarterbacks that are dominating the top stories since Brock Osweiler’s signing. Mark Sanchez. Colin Kaepernick. Ryan Fitzpatrick. Robert Griffin III. Johnny Manziel. Scott Tolzien.

And fans across the nation are actually up in arms about actually snagging one of these guys.

The New Houston Texans: the Brock stops here

NFL’s free agency period opened yesterday and almost immediately, many of the big names were taken off the board. The Houston Texans revamped their offense with three big moves of their own, signing Brock Osweiler, Lamar Miller and Jeff Allen.

Of course, my Twitter and text messages blew up instantly wanting to know how I felt about this. I had to sleep on it, but I think that overall, the Texans had a good day.

Did the Texans make the right moves? Keep reading to find out.

Roddy White and Arian Foster: Fare thee well

This has been one heck of an offseason for NFL veterans. Long time stalwarts and fan favorites are finding themselves without homes, at least for the time being. Mario Williams. Charles Johnson. Chris Clemons. Marques Colston. There are so many that NFL.com put out there Top 99 Free Agents list.

None are bigger or mean more to their franchises than Arian Foster and Roddy White.

More on White and Foster’s illustrious careers.
