There are two types of bad football. One is just the straight up, blatant stupidity that the New York Giants have shown us constantly in the fourth quarter throughout this 2015 season. It is a breakdown in an old coach that can’t transform and an “elite” quarterback that has rode the coat tails of his daddy and big brother — and a few lucky catches — long enough.
The second is just plain old stubbornness. Mike Pettine certainly lost the clubhouse in the dumpster fire that is the Cleveland Browns yesterday, but he also may have lost a job.

My friend Ryan — aka The Law Dog — is hands down one of the funniest kids you will ever meet. When it comes to sports, he is possibly the single funniest. He enjoys his libations as much as the next guy during sporting events. You can just see him stewing over a bad call or a team he loathes, and when he explodes… pure comedy erupts.

I know — especially because of The Wifeyiac — that I have a pretty large New England Patriots following. I know some of you will have some choice words. Deal with it. You have been to six Super Bowls in the amount of time that my favorite team has been in existence. People don’t like your team, because they don’t like winners. So sit back and welcome The Law Dog to Wayniac Nation.
This has been the most bizarre NFL season that I can remember. Some football teams — like my Houston Texans and the Atlanta Falcons — seemingly reached the sixth game of the season and did a complete 180. One is spiraling downward and the other — my Texans — is on the rise.
Injuries have taken their toll worse than I can remember since 1999. I only remember 1999 because of how many first round draft picks went out in my fantasy league by week three. That was the year that Terrell Davis and Jamal Anderson blew out their legs, amongst a bevy of others. This year is worse. Every week, the NFL is losing a superstar — if not two — and the Patriots lose a third of their roster. It’s insane.
And then there is the officiating. How in the world is this being allowed to happen? It’s offensive to the die hard fans of the NFL that Roger Goodell allows these horrendous calls to happen each week. But then again, it’s Roger Goodell. He’s too busy soaking in his millions to actually care about his league.
This week, SBJ is back with his picks. It’s the holiday time of year. While everyone needs a little bit thicker wallets this time of year, emotions always run high. Don’t understand? Well, here… I’ll let SBJ explain.
Hope everyone had a good Turkey Day and is as stuffed as the feathered friends we feasted on last night. It was an interesting day of football to say the least. We saw two highly lopsided wins and one upset that may have changed the tide in the NFC North. So… what happened yesterday?
Tom Brady is at it again. He is having another one of those Brady seasons that seems like he is some sort of robot that is nearly flawless in his execution. He has the best quarterback rating in the NFL at 111.1 and has amassed 3,043 yards passing to go along with 24 TDs and a mere three interceptions. The Pats are the best team in football… again. You would think Tom Brady is a runaway with the NFL MVP Award.
Sunday night baffled a lot of people with that high scoring affair between two stout defenses. But it had nothing on Monday night’s stunner. SBJ is back with full disclosure of what went right and wrong in last week’s prime time games.
