I never understood how the City of Angels could lose not one, but two football teams. There were two primary factors that made it very difficult to comprehend, especially when you are in your late teens and think you know everything as I was. I guess none of that matters because the Rams are coming home, but it still was mind-boggling.

NFL Playoffs: Brady Manning Bowl XVII… and all is well in the NFL
This was a peculiar year in the NFL. Officiating hit an all time low. Injuries to he NFL’s biggest stars were at an all time high. No one on the planet knows what a catch is. And Roger Goodell continues to digress in what was once a strong presence in the commissioner’s office.
Oh yea, and there is going to be NFL football in LA.
Oh, and oh yea, the greatest rivalry in sports is about to write out its final chapter.

The Law Dogs Top 10 college coaches who stunk it up in the NFL
On the heels of the Chip Kelly debacle in Philadelphia, the Law Dog is back with his latest top ten. Which former college coaches couldn’t hack it in the NFL? Only one way to find out. Enjoy the latest from the Law Dog below!
The NFL Playoffs reach a new low with the Pittsburgh Steelers/Cincinnati Bengals fight… I mean game
The NFL Playoffs reached new lows on Saturday when the nation had to endure Brian Hoyer leading my Houston Texans down the proverbial throne and ending a magical season. It was a season that saw the Texans fight back, but their immeasurable success had little if anything to do with Hoyer. He was the goat — not the GOAT — and hopefully took his last snap in Texans gear.
Thankfully, we have Vontaze Burfict, Marvin Lewis and Adam Jones who made the nation forget just how bad Hoyer’s performance was.
The NFL Rundown: That’s all she wrote
SBJ’s first go ’round as the Wayniac Nation gambling guru had it’s ups and downs, but the bottom line was that he finished up. And I have a secret that Vegas doesn’t tell you: that’s all that matters in the world of gambling, folks.
This is the Final Rundown. I keep thinking of that Europe commercial with the Final Countdown as I read this, so enjoy. This is SBJ’s final piece of the NFL season, so make sure to give him a solid sendoff.
The WN Fantasy Football Report: Playoffs… DFS Style
The regular season has come to a close and so has our Fantasy Football yearly league start em and sit em picks. Fee and I took a gander at FanDuel and Draft Kings selections last week and we did alright for you (more on that in a bit).
This week, Fee and I decided to look at a few solid picks for your Playoff DFS. This is where it gets tricky. The player pool is more limited with only eight teams playing. Everyone knows to pick Antonio Brown, but who are the little secret weapons that are going to boost your team?
I hope Fee and I have some of them for you below.
Brett Favre and the 2016 NFL Hall of Fame class
Man, I am not envious of the NFL Hall of Famer voters at all. Coming off the heels of an overstuffed MLB Hall of Fame vote, full of worthy candidates — and a bit of ensuing controversy following the results — this NFL selection will have a lot to choose from. Narrowing down these candidates to five worthy busts for Canton seems nearly impossible.
Can MLB analytic mind Paul DePodesta turn around the Cleveland Browns?
I thought I read the headline wrong. Obviously, it was a typo and the New York Mets VP of Player Development Paul DePodesta was heading back to his roots and signed on with the Cleveland Indians. It makes sense, the Indians are a team that needs help with their farm system, and DePodesta has shown he can do that.
It was no typo. He is heading to the NFL in attempts to rebuild one of the sorriest franchises in the game’s history.
Keep reading for more on the interesting move by the Browns.
The Houston Texas are AFC South Champs: their proudest moment
The Houston Texans are AFC South Champs. I know that heading into the week the Indianapolis Colts needed the most absurd combination of victories — including both a Donald Trump victory in DC and a Philadelphia 76ers win on the court — to steal that honor from the Texans, but behind a dominant 30-6 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, it became official.
It may have been the proudest moment in the history of the franchise.

NFL Sundays with SBJ: And the winner is…
Before we get into SBJ’s last piece of the season, I need to reiterate something. I know nothing, zero, zip, zilch about picking winners in the NFL versus Vegas. The articles you have read all season entitled The NFL Rundown and NFL Sundays with SBJ have been written by our guest contributor Jared, a.k.a The Sports Book Jesus.
I feel I have to explain this because I got a text last week asking me why I picked a certain way. That is precisely why — when Jared came to me with the idea of adding a Sunday gambling column to Wayniac Nation — I asked him to be the one to do it. Your wallet would be empty and we may very well not have a single win this entire season had I been the one writing these articles. Instead, if you listened to SBJ, you are ending the season with a little extra cash in your pocket.
Got it? Good. That being said, let SBJ take you to the finish line on the NFL season and see if he has one last victory in him.
