FanDuel Fee – Week 6 DFS Picks

Sorry for the super lateness of this.  Time gets away from me pretty much all the time.  Week 6 is upon us and the values are out there for us.  This looks to be the week where you pay up at RB and look for extra values at WR.  You can go either way at QB and TE, so it just matters how you construct your lineups.  For clarification, these are for MAIN SLATE only unless otherwise noted.   Let’s get to it:

Kerwin Bell thriving with young QBs at Valdosta State

This past offseason, David Dean — who, in nine seasons at the helm at Valdosta State, took the Blazers to six NCAA postseasons, one Gulf South conference championship and two national championships — became the co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at FBS program Georgia Southern. It left a big hole in Valdosta State’s program.

That hole was filled by Kerwin Bell.

NFL RUNDOWN WITH SBJ: UN-DUH!!!…UN-DUH!!!

An UNDER/UNDER Primetime Combo.

(Satisfied sigh)

Did you even break a sweat with either of those total points picks? Of course not. Look, the fact is that The House has been bringing up the rear in all statistical categories thus far, and we all know, from last semester, that Vegas will eventually go on their run. This was a perfect week to call the Double House Under, and we hit it. Kudos, undergraduates.

The Philadelphia Phillies backstop conundrum

The Philadelphia Phillies have a good problem on their hands. In an era that elite catchers seem to be wearing thin, the Phillies have two of the premier catching prospects in the game. This past season, they purposely left Andrew Knapp and Jorge Alfaro at two different levels of the minor leagues. Now, both appear ready for big league stardom.

So what’s next for the Phillies behind the plate?

The Atlanta Braves Anfernee Seymour an intriguing prospect

Anfernee Seymour has had an interesting journey since beginning his professional career. First, he switched positions, converting from a high school center fielder to minor league shortstop. This season, he switched organizations, coming to the Atlanta Braves from the Miami Marlins in an August trade.

So, what do the Braves have in Seymour?

The WN Fantasy Football Report: Week 5 Starts and Sits

Buccaneers and Vikings are on a bye, which means you are missing your star defense, as well as a few very playable wide receivers and one of the hotter tight ends in the game right now. Jordan Reed highlights this week’s big names to watch on the injury list, Charles Sims made a surprising trip to the IR, and Eric Decker made what everyone knew was coming official and ended his season.

So who do you start and sit this week? We got you covered.

Onward to Week 5 best and worst plays.

The Atlanta Falcons: be careful with that Kool-Aid

The 2015 Atlanta Falcons should have been a precautionary tale. They started the season 5-0 and Falcons fans were speaking about a Super Bowl run. They were yelling as the always do (and quite honestly, rightfully so) that no one loves the Falcons and they weren’t getting any national attention. They thought that this was finally the year. Failure to Launch: The Tiger, Tiger Woods saga continues

We were so close. So close I tell you. The leaves are beginning to change, football teams are settling into who they really are, baseball playoffs are in full swing, and then he announced he was coming back. Could fall get any better? We were so close. Tiger Woods was coming back to golf and this time there was a glimmer of hope that we might get a competitive Tiger. How could we not be really excited after reading this quote last week from Jesper Parnevik?

“By the way, he’s been hitting a lot of balls, and he’s hitting it great. He’s pounding it a mile and flushing everything. On the range, at least, his trajectory and ball flight are like the Tiger we knew 15 years ago. Comebacks are never a sure thing, but something tells me his might be spectacular.”

NFL SUNDAYS WITH SBJ: EMPATHY WAS YESTERDAY…

See all that? That’s just a few of the wide receivers that I should be starting over my first round fantasy draft pick. Just a sampling of the other thirty two more productive options out there. Five are actually on the waver wire right now. I’m 2-2, and my fantasy “stud” can’t even hack a double digit point a week average? Do I honestly have to have a sit down with Eli, before tonight’s crucial matchup?
