Last week I needed to go 3-0 across my fantasy leagues to stay in the playoff hunt. Two of those games I not only won, but won in convincing fashion as both were over 30-point victories. The third I lost and it wasn’t pretty. Not only did I lose by 17 points, I lost to the future Mrs. Wayniac. It didn’t hurt as much as I thought, it was more like when Anakin Skywalker betrayed Obi Won Kenobi and became more powerful. She was a novice for the 2013 season and picked my brain for every ounce of fantasy information I had. She then joined my league with Kid Robot and the apprentice has beaten the master. So congratulations, but just remember what happened to Darth Vader’s empire. They crumbled when the pressure was turned up. So, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb. I’m coming for you Shiny New Toys.
Well, if you listened to my starts and sits, you hopefully were able to win all of your games. Philip Rivers was my start of the week at QB and while he played mistake free football and still mustered 15 points, there is clearly something wrong with him. Whether Antonio Gates was right about the ribs or not, Rivers is not the same QB he was just a few weeks back. Mark Ingram continued to tear it up with another 17-point day. Roddy White was able to get in the end zone yet again and the Packers defense was the highest scoring defense of the week.
Mark Sanchez was able to salvage 23 points in garbage time after looking completely lost and miserable, giving more touchdowns to the Eagles, but it was still pretty smart to sit him. Ryan Mathews, Marques Colston, and the Eagles defense all under performed while Vernon Davis actually improved. Last week Davis had one catch for seven yards. This week he had one catch for eight yards.
This is the last week of byes. The good news is that it is the Steelers and the Panthers so their aren’t a ton of fantasy relevant superstars you need to worry about their absence. Still, Antonio Brown, Le’Veon Bell, Kelvin Benjamin and Ben Roethlisberger need replacing. Who do you start this week? You know the Wayniac Nation has your answers!

Fee:
Starts of the Week:
Jay Cutler is going against a Bucs defense that has given up multiple TD passes in 5 straight road games. Alshon Jeffery is back to being an every week starter after a few up and down weeks, so get him in and don’t remove him. Start Justin Forsett verse the Saints. He has double digits in all but three games he has started. Start Mike Evans until you can’t anymore. Last week, Dunton welcomed Odell Beckham to the must-start club, man, Mike Evans is the president right now. First rookie with over seven receptions, over 100 yards and at least one touchdown in three straight weeks.
Sits of the Week:
Jonas Gray is the waiver wire flavor of the week. Please, the Lions won’t give up much in the run game. Larry Fitzgerald, even though Seattle isn’t the same team as last year, their D is still good at home. Russell Wilson should sit as well because Arizona’s defense makes starting quarterbacks look silly.
Dunton:
Starts of the Week:
DeAndre Hopkins has 30 targets over his last three games. Going up against a Bengals secondary that has been, well let’s just say less than stellar, ten targets this week could easily produce 90-plus yards and a TD. Hopkins is a poor man’s Emmanuel Sanders and he is on concussion watch. Also, start Joe Flacco. Four words for you: New Orleans Saints Defense. They made Andy Dalton look great last week. Can we talk about the fact that Dalton had more fantasy points than Peyton Manning? Flacco is a better QB than Dalton and these two teams may get into a Monday night shootout in the Dome. Flacco did throw five TD’s against the Bucs, three is not out of the question this week.
Sit of the Week:
Megatron. I’m not crazy about this matchup with New England and Revis Island. Has anyone found TY Hilton since he was lost on that island? Didn’t think so. Megatron will get some points but don’t expect Calvin Johnson points. Tough place to play, tough weather elements, Matthew Stafford is reverting to Matthew Stafford of 2013 so all this lines up against Megatron. He will bounce back in coming weeks but I don’t see it this week.
Ted Reed:
Starts of the Week:
I’m going with two tight ends this week. Coby Fleener will go off again at home versus the Jags (especially with Dwayne Allen not looking healthy) and Martellus Bennett will be big against the Bucs. I also like Shoelaces to put it on the Colts bad run defense. If Jonas Gray can, so can Denard Robinson!
Sits of the Week:
Andy Dalton will return to Dalton-dom and have a bad day with superman J.J. Watt bringing the heat. Jonas Gray will come crashing back to earth against Lions stingy run D. Knowing the Pats he could barely be involved in game plan this week!

J.D.:
Start of the Week: Coby Fleener
Dwayne Allen is unlikely to play and Andrew Luck may only have one of his go-to TE’s against the lowly Jags. Fleener rises up to a must-start this week with the circumstances and opponent.
Sit: Jonas Gray
I went against my philosophy (never owning Patriots RB’s or Red Sox closers) and picked up Gray in one of my leagues. I’ll probably never start him though, because you never know when the Pats move their fourth-string RB to handle all the carries after a 1st quarter missed block. The Lions rush defense is strong and while Vereen and Bolden are healthy, you can’t trust Gray to produce…or to even get carries.
The Wayniac:
Starts of the Week:
QB: Ryan Mallett – The Bengals have allowed 1,236 yards passing in their four road games. That’s 309 yards through the air a game. Now, I’m not sure Mallett is ready for that, but the same Bengals have forced just one interception on the road. If Mallett plays mistake free, he’s good for 250 yards and two short touchdowns.
RB: Steven Jackson – I know, it’s not 2010, but check this out: last week Alfred Blue ripped off nearly 160 yards on the ground against this Browns defense. Antone Smith is out for the season, so S Jax will be seeing the field more. He could look like his former self… at least this week.
WR: Josh Gordon – I just traded him and now have to face him, but he has been waiting 11 weeks to get on the field. Some people have forgotten that he was discussed as “better than Megatron” last season. He’s facing a Falcons’ pass defense that has allowed the two rookie receivers (Mike Evans and Kelvin Benjamin) to go over 100 yards and score a touchdown. Gordon is poised for a big game.
TE: Owen Daniels – Jermaine Gresham caught two touchdown passes last week against the Saints. That’s two more than he caught ALL season. Start OD with confidence.
Defense: Bills. Currently the Bills are asking the help of fans to shovel out Ralph Wilson Stadium, offering ten dollars an hour and free tickets to Sunday’s game. Should that game be played, the brutal Bills defense may hold the feeble Jets offense to negative yards.
Sits of the Week:
QB: Philip Rivers – This has nothing to do with his ability or who he is playing. Like I said earlier, there is something wrong with Rivers. Until he works the kinks out, whether that means getting healthy or getting back to Rivers, he should be sat.
RB: Jonas Gray – Have to go with my boys here and agree. The Colts run defense is not the Lions defense and now it seems they are bringing bad boy LeGarrette Blount back. No thank you.
WR: Every Seahawks receiver – Doug Baldwin has quietly played very nicely with the departure of Percy Harvin, but the Cardinals defense is going to hone in on him and that leaves very little else to which Russell Wilson can throw.
TE: Vernon Davis – I told you last week: until this bum can break ten yards, he will be my sit of the week!
Defense: Vikings – Did you know that the Vikings are tied for the 10th most defense points in fantasy? That means they should be a weekly start. Right now I wouldn’t start the 1985 Chicago Bears against Aaron Rodgers though.
