Welcome to Week 9 of the NFL season. There are a ton of byes this week so we have to dig deep to come up with the unique lineups for GPP play. For Cash games, there seems to be an agreement of paying up for RBs and finding value at WRs this week. Picks are for Main Slate only unless otherwise noted. Let’s get to it:
CASH:
QBs
Aaron Rodgers ($9100) – The Packers still don’t have a RB to speak of. Indy’s D is terrible. A-aron is playing much better recently. The floor is astronomically high here for what Vegas has as the highest scoring game on the slate.
Andrew Luck ($8000) – The price seems like a steal for the other side of the ball in this game.
Dak Prescott ($7600) – The Cowboys and their top rated O-line are going against the poor Cleveland D. Seems like he should continue the trend, but with Luck only $400 more, it might be tough to take him especially if you think that the Boys should run all day long.
RBs
Ezekiel Elliott ($9200) – The chalkiest of the chalk. You can fade him at your own risk, but you probably shouldn’t.
Le’Veon Bell ($8700) – He’s in on almost every offensive snap. Big Ben possibly coming back and not near 100% should mean he (or even Landry Jones) will rely heavily on Bell. Don’t be the guy that misses out on his first TD of the season.
Melvin Gordon ($7800) – I still hate him, and he still continues to be impressive and put up points. We’re already half way through the season and he’s showing no signs of slowing down (note from The Wayniac — I too have the fantasy hate for Melvin Gordon for screwing me last season as a third rounder and rewarding those that took him in the tenth).
Charcandrick West ($5600) – If Ware is declared OUT for the game, West is largely in play here. The Jags haven’t shown they can slow anyone down on D.
Best of the rest: Booker, Riddick
WRs
Jarvis Landry ($7600) – Landry is still getting double digit targets but this week he goes up against the funnel D of the Jets. If Tannehill can stay off his ass, Landry should get his chances.
Marvin Jones Jr. ($7200) – I know what you’re thinking….”but he’s playing the Vikings”. Well the Vikes D didn’t look all that great last week and Jones still gets a ton of volume. If the Lions get down early, they’ll have to throw.
Davante Adams ($7100) – Rodgers has to throw to someone and most of the rest may still be injured. ADams could even get some of the Ty Montgomery roll out of the backfield.
Jordan Matthews ($5800) – The Giants are terrible covering the slot. Matthews has shown the ability to get open at times. This seems ripe.
Donte Moncrief ($6100) – With TY Hilton nursing a hammy, Moncrief who saw 9 targets last week, could get a bump to double digits this week.
Best of the rest: Terrell Pryor, Stefon Diggs, Emanuel Sanders
TEs
Travis Kelce ($6600) – I think with Foles at QB, he should rely a lot on his TE vs the Jags.
Kyle Rudolph ($5000) – Detroit is bad on D, especially to the TE. I know Norv is gone, but he should still be a big part of this offense.
Antonio Gates ($5500) – Admittedly, he might be more of a GPP play, but Hunter Henry is out this week. I know he’s 37 years old, but Rivers still throws him the ball….a lot.
Ks
Crosby, Bailey, Santos, Lutz
Ds
Panthers, Chiefs, Eagles
GPP – Tourney Plays
Rodgers/Adams Stack
Luck/Moncrief Stack
Beckham Jr.
Tyreek Hill/KC DEF Stack
Tim Hightower
Corey Coleman
Quincy Enunwa/Brandon Marshall
Charcandrick West – we might not be able to afford to not have him in our lineups with Ware OUT.
